Interpretations 2.0 - Film Updates

Hello folks!

I'm excited to say that this week I'll be wrapping up a short film that I co-produced with my good friend Jade Verdeflor.

We're answering the call of filmmaker Justin Lin (of Fast and the Furious/Better Luck Tomorrow fame) and his 2nd iteration of the Interpretations Contest.

The competition provides four lines (written by playwright and Stanford alum, David Henry Hwang):

Juliana Chang and Joriene Mercado, two of our actors on the short.

Don't do that.

Of course.

I have my doubts.

What is it?

As long as the lines are used verbatim and in the set order, filmmakers are free to interpret them however they wish. We shot our three minute short over a course of two days, and now we're entering the last stages of post-production.

Since it's such a brief film, I'll spare you the details of the plot, but look out for more behind the scenes thoughts after we submit and release the film. Look out for it on the Common Origins Productions page. :)

Take care!
